W pracy rozpatrzono możliwość powstawania drgań samowzbudnych szczotki na skutek zmieniającego się współczynnika tarcia. W oparciu o analizę równania ruchu szczotki podano warunki asymptotycznej stateczności zanikania drgań oraz, w przypadku gdy ruch szczotki jest okresowy, określono warunki, przy których amplituda drgań jest najmniejsza.
